The Rear Derailleur Hanger is made of machined alloy and attaches to the rear frame. The Rear Derailleur is then attached to the hanger.
The Hanger is deliberately designed to be soft so that in the event of an impact the Hanger will break and protect the frame.
This is a replacement part to be used if the Hanger on the bike is damaged.
